It's exceptionally light with a soft texture and a close, even, straight grain which makes it easy to work and finish to a smooth, silky perfection. It's free from pitch and takes and holds stains and paints superbly.

Western Red Cedar's very low coefficient of expansion means that it does not shrink, swell, or warp excessively, even when subjected to changing degrees of temperature or moisture. And its a superb insulator.

Western Red Cedar logs are amazingly light and easy to handle and our log coding system tags each log and shows order of placement, eliminating waste and confusion. Pan-Abode's patented "lock joint" and computer controlled precision milling system insures that every log fits easily and precisely. A precision milling double tongue and groove insures that the home seals effectively with limited caulking at corner joints only.
